HOLLYWOOD TIGER
Tsunami: Rescuing a Very Special Bengal Tiger
I’d like you to meet Tsunami, a 5-year-old, 350-pound Bengal tiger with a personality that lights up the moment you start talking to him. I’ve met this “kitty,” and he truly is something special.
The story: Tsunami was privately owned in Hollywood, Florida. When his owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness, there was a heartbreaking possibility on the table: if a suitable home couldn’t be found, Tsunami would be euthanized.
Thanks to a community effort, we found another path. My office manager, Linda Irons, spotted an article about Tsunami’s situation in the Palm Beach Post around October, and we mobilized quickly. I contributed $3,000 to build a secure chain-link enclosure so Tsunami could have a safe space while a permanent home was arranged.
Today, Tsunami is safe—another successful rescue. And we’re not stopping here. I’ll be sharing more rescue stories soon, including our many stray cats, three dogs, and a bird.

Note: Wild animals aren’t pets. They deserve specialized care in accredited sanctuaries where their safety and well-being come first.
